What is PokerTrading? Poker rules, market cards
PokerTrading is six-handed Texas Hold'em with one twist: your two hole cards are trades, not a poker hand.
The deck in two rules
- Colour is direction. Black suits (♠ ♣) go long, red suits (♥ ♦) go short.
- Rank is power. Cards 2–10 deploy rank × 5% of your $10,000 book at 1×. Courts deploy the full half at 6×/7×/8×. An ace deploys its half at 10×.
Because each card can only ever deploy half your book, two cards can never allocate more than 100%. Two aces are the ceiling: the whole book at 10×.
How a hand plays
- Blinds post and two private cards deal your book at the shared BTC price.
- Three live market windows run, with a poker betting round after each.
- The final price locks, one last betting round happens on a known result, then showdown.
The best surviving book takes the pot — or everyone folds and you take it down without showing.
Why it's still poker
Your cards are sealed at the deal. The only decision left is how much USD to risk on what you're holding, which means bluffing works exactly like it always has.
